Mechanism of Action:

A bispecific monoclonal antibody called emicizumab attaches itself to both Factor X (FX) and activated Factor IX (FIXa). In individuals with hemophilia A, including those who have developed factor VIII inhibitors, this activity aids in restoring the coagulation cascade.

Dosage and Administration:

This injection is administered subcutaneously once weekly at a loading dose of 3 mg/kg. Depending on the patient's requirements, maintenance dosages can be 1.5 mg/kg per week, 3 mg/kg every two weeks, or 6 mg/kg every four weeks.

How to use this Medication?

Emicizumab is administered subcutaneously (under the skin) as a liquid solution. For four weeks at first, it is administered once a week. The frequency of emicizumab injections will be determined by your physician.
