Mechanism of Action:

Calcimimetic substance called cinacalcet increases the parathyroid gland's calcium-sensing receptor's (CaSR) sensitivity to extracellular calcium. The secretion of parathyroid hormone (PTH), which is essential for maintaining calcium and phosphate balance, decreases as a result of this increased sensitivity.
