Cydekin 75mg Capsule contains Palbociclib , is used, usually in combination with hormonal anticancer therapy, to treat certain forms of breast cancer (HER2-negative, estrogen receptor-positive) that have metastasized to other organs. For best results, take it with food at the same time every day.

Composition: Palbociclib


Mechanism of Action:

Palbociclib inhibit the CDK4 and CDK6, which are essential for controlling the cell cycle. Palbociclib inhibits the growth of cancer cells by blocking these kinases, which stops cells from moving from the G1 phase of the cell cycle to the S phase.


Uses: 

  • Hormone receptor-positive breast cancer.
  • Advanced or metastasized breast cancer.

  • Neutropenia (low white blood cell count)
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Fever
  • Diarrhea
  • Mouth sores
  • Severe infections due to low neutrophil counts
  • Liver enzyme elevations

Dosage and Administration: 

To improve absorption, Palbociclib should be taken with meals. Instead of chewing or crushing the pills, they should be consumed whole. Palbociclib is normally given orally once day for 21 days at a dose of 100mg, with a 7-day break (28-day cycle).

How to use this Medication?

Drink a glass of water along with this medication. Observe the medicine label's instructions. This drug should be taken with meals. Take this prescription in the morning if you take it once daily. Avoid taking it more frequently than prescribed. Avoid stopping your prescription abruptly as this might trigger a serious response.

 

The amount of medicine you should take will be determined by your care team. To prevent any negative effects, your care team may gradually reduce the dosage if they decide you should stop taking the drug.
