Heparel 100IU Injection contains Hepatitis B Immunoglobulin used to provide immediate, temporary protection against the hepatitis B virus (HBV). It is usually given to those who have recently come into contact with HBV, such as through unintentional needlesticks, contact with bodily fluids that are infected, or transmission from an infected mother to her infant child.

Mechanism of Action:

Hepatitis B Immunoglobulin (HBIG), which is present in Heparel 100IU Injection, produces antibodies that neutralize the Hepatitis B virus, hence promoting passive immunity. The course of the infection is stopped when these antibodies attach to the virus and render it inactive, stopping it from entering liver cells.
