Mechanism of Action:

Rasburicase is a recombinant form of urate oxidase, an enzyme that humans do not naturally make. Uric acid is changed by this enzyme into allantoin, which is more soluble and readily eliminated. It helps avoid renal damage and other TLS-related problems by lowering uric acid levels.

Dosage and Administration:

Rasburicase is normally given intravenously once daily at a dose of 0.15 to 0.2 mg/kg.

How to use this Medication?

Rasburicase injection is administered intravenously (into a vein) by a physician or nurse at a hospital or clinic after being mixed with a liquid.
