Zidolam Tablet

Zidolam Tablet is a fixed-dose combination antiretroviral medication used in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection. It has strong antiviral effects by combining two nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), Lamivudine and Zidovudine.

Mechanism of Action:

HIV replication requires the reverse transcriptase enzyme, which is inhibited by zidovudine and lamivudine. They are integrated into the viral DNA and hinder further elongation by causing premature chain termination. This prevents viral RNA from being converted into proviral DNA. This slows the course of the disease by suppressing HIV multiplication.
